Great Beguinage by candlelight

On Saturday 13 December 2025 the Great Beguinage will be even more atmospheric. Stroll through the streets in the glow of thousands of candles and enjoy the carillon music.

  • Where: Great Beguinage and Dijlepark (view on Google Maps)
  • Price: Free
  • Accessibility: Accessible by wheelchair. Do keep in mind that the surface is cobblestone.

Great Beguinage

The Men of 1980 will light the candles and the carillon will provide beautiful music. You can warm up with a steaming cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate and a warm waffle.

And for children there is a photo hunt.

Don't forget the Dijlepark

The nearby Dijlepark is also bathed in Christmas spirit that day. The neighborhood group Groot Redingenhof will light candles and invite Santa Claus for a visit.
